not having any particular farming spot, which has more versitility? which is easier to play (as a noob)?

They're both near skilless I found, apart from running to certain places o.O.

Monk is better, obviously because you can use the necro skill SS, or SoJ. Then you have mantra of resolve and IW which is ok(ish) for bosses or things o.O.

Forgot the desert mission with the worms but I used to do that with IW, much easier than SoJ.

Can also run the beacons>rankor>droknar run pretty fast with a 55monk-rush where as with a necro/monk, nope; however, farming isn't running so i'll shutup ^_^.

55'ing can be compared to say an Ele. Granted you can pick an Ele as your secondary on say a warrior but you're not going to get energy storage, and countless of other things. Well, since the majority of the skills needed for 55'ing are monk, blatantly the best setup is going to be with a monk primary.

However, if you bring cost into it : necro wins, then again, runes are pretty cheap now so...
